Job Description :
Qualcomm SoC Power Optimization team works on achieving industry leading power optimized solution for Mobile/IoT/XR/Tablet products.
In this position, the candidate will be working with cross-functional teams to analyze and identify power challenges, enable system level power features, drive debugging/analysis to identify and provide SW solution to optimize battery power consumptions.
This is a system software engineer role with leadership skills to drive a team of engineers working in multiple software and hardware domains with focus on power optimizations.
This role provides the opportunities to debug/analysis system power issues but doesn’t have coding opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/EC/EEE required.
• Master’s degree in CS/EC/EEE preferred.
Responsibilities
• Understand the power system architecture of Mobile/IOT/XR/Table products.
• Analyze and debug the SW to identify power issues/regression and work with other teams to address identified issues.
• Opportunities to contribute on forward looking SW power features.
• Networks with colleagues within and outside domain to gain insight, ideas, and connections.
Skills/experience
• Good Analytical skills and fast learner.
• Understanding of Embedded systems and/or microprocessor/ARM Architecture.
• Understanding of Linux OS concepts, Linux/Android Power Management concepts
• Awareness of debugging tool like gdb/JTAG, Android debug framework (logcat, dmesg etc)
• Awareness of software development life cycle (SDLC)
