Roles & Responsibilities:
Understand design requirements based on the technical specifications
Create 3D CAD Parametric model, Synchronous modelling using CREO
Create Manufacturing Drawing, Assembly arrangements using CREO
Ability to generate complex 3D model and its Manufacturing drawings (Forging, Fabrication, Machining)
Ability to generate BOM, engineering specifications and standards.
Collaborate with other functions and teams in completing the required drawings
Participate in design reviews, interact with other functional teams to ensure design for manufacturability
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
Degree in Mechanical/Structural Engineering or equivalent
Working hands-on experience in using CREO for modeliing and detailing to generate complex 3D model and its detailed drawings
Desirable to have experience in working with various design tools/processes as PUGH matrix, DFMEA reviews, risk reviews etc
Good knowledge of International and Customer specific standards for modelling and drafting.
Knowledge of working with sheet metal parts is preferred. Knowledge of sheet metal design considerations viz. bend radii, sheet thickness, strengthening techniques etc.
Good knowledge of standard drafting techniques per ASME Y 14.5
Good knowledge in GD & T (ISO & ASME)
Good knowledge welding standards (ISO & ASME)
Knowledge related to Layout & piping materials and piping codes, standards / specs.
Ability to interpret mechanical engineering drawings, electrical and hydraulic schematics, P&ID’s, GA drawings
Ability to support engineers in design concepts. Provides design alternatives and assists engineering in product development
Performs final drafting review to ensure drawings contain complete dimensional data for engineering and manufacturing purposes
Review and check design models, drawings, and design documents for quality, accuracy, functionality, assembly and satisfactory completion
