Roles and Responsibilities
Demonstrate an understanding of industry-standard software Quality Assurance methodologies, Software Testing, tools and processes
Understand Customer business requirements to foresee potential issues, provide input on functional requirements and advise on design
Estimate requirements based on analysis and prepare high level scenarios and test plans
Define and execute test cases, evaluate results against predicted outcomes
Prepare quality assurance reports and metrices
Collaborates with the development team on bug fix verification and validation (regression testing)
Have the ability to effectively communicate risks for mitigation and defects for swift resolution
Support clients Customer Service centre with trouble-shooting root cause to expedite resolution
Be willing to take ownership of testing excellence or optimal project execution
Proactively interact with customer on deliverables owned
Supports, designs, develops, and enhances test processes and reporting for QA processes
Manages testing efforts across many varied projects and tasks under tight deadlines
Mentors and provides training assistance to other QA Engineers
Required Skills(Technical Competency)
5+ Years of experience in Manual Testing and strong exposure to automation testing
Experience in using test management tools
Experience in any bug/issue tracking tool
Experience with Git or other distributed version control systems
Exposure to Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment practices
Experience on working with various Operating Systems Familiar with Agile methodology.
Setting up production-like environment in local environment and also be able to deploy artefacts Design and develop test suites with Java, Selenium, TestNG framework
Experience in testing web services such as REST and SOAP.
Familiarity with build tools such as Ant, Maven
Experience in database structure and data retrieval using MySQL and SQL Server
Desired Skills
Software Quality Assurance Certifications
1 – 2 years distribution centre, material handling, or software industry experience
Experience in warehouse management and its operations
Experience in JIRA, TestRail
Exposure of working in Agile-Scrum Projects
