The S&P Global MI Dev Tools Group is looking for a skilled Jira and Confluence administrator to join our growing team. The Atlassian Tools squad lives within the larger tools group and manages multiple enterprise Jira and Confluence instances (2,000 – 12,000 users) spanning Atlassian’s Server, Cloud, and Data Center product lines. At the posted level, our engineers should have prior experience with Jira and Confluence support, upgrade, configuration and best practices. AWS and Terraform skills are helpful for deploying and troubleshooting the applications but are not required at this level. Linux and basic programming experience is required at this level. Prior experience of migrating Jira or confluence sites from server to SaaS(Cloud) sites is also a good to have for this level
This position is for European time zone (CET) hours – (12 noon IST to 9 pm IST)
An Ideal Candidate Has Most Of The Following Strengths

• At least 3-6 years of hands-on work administering Jira and Confluence, ideally including back-end server administration.
• Previous experience of Upgrading Jira and confluence versions
• Passion for Atlassian products and using them to improve the daily lives of agile teams.
• Demonstrated focus on configuration best practices and growth planning. For example: encouraging Jira workflow standardization, limiting the number of custom fields, plugin review and decision-making, and periodic housekeeping.
• Enough Linux experience to handle server-side troubleshooting and maintenance (SSH, log file searches, application configuration settings).
• Some programming experience with at least one mainstream language or scripting environment (Java, Python, bash, PowerShell, C#, etc.) and an understanding of the importance of automation.
In Addition, The Following Skills Are Helpful
• Prior experience of migrating Jira or confluence sites from server to SaaS(Cloud) site or vice-a-versa
• AWS certification or experience managing apps deployed to AWS using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD practices and how Jira and Confluence interact with other developer tools.
• Experience working in a global organization and ability to communicate effectively with users in many time zones.
• Creativity in working with users to help them get the most out of our tools (documentation, videos, training sessions).
