Position summary

As a fundamental team player within the overall marketing team and with other key areas as sales, the product manager develops and implements the local marketing plan and ensures market outperformance, target achievement and profitability for his/ her business franchise.
The product manager will be responsible for leading key elements of the commercial plan and tactical programs for straumann group‘s implant systems in indian marketThe product manager will be responsible for taking a lead role to ensure proper sales alignment and coordination of marketing activities.
The individual will be responsible for promoting straumann group’s implant systems with a primary emphasis on implementation and executionThe individual will be required to demonstrate skills in leadership both externally with the customers, sales team and internally with other members of the marketing team.
Key responsibilities:
Defines the product strategy and roadmap – develops marketing strategies for the sales team
Assists the head of marketing in development of product launches, updates, and marketing collateral
Ensures top line sales and market share for respective product franchises through meaningful initiatives & promotions
Conducts and analyzes market and competitive intelligence
Responsible for reviewing product data to ensure that the sales team is kept up to date on new developments and product enhancements
Assist with the development of the annual marketing plan
Responsible for preparing product forecasts and the monitoring of inventory levels at central and local warehouses to ensure supply timelines.
Assists with product sales analysis, forecasting, pricing, and returns
Assists in pr activities for new product launches
Liaise with regional office and head office product managers
Strong sales acumen in understanding and translating value proposition to the market and customers

Understands global company strategy and translates this into sales relevant initiatives within respective product franchise
Internal specialist for respective product portfolio, related practice workflows and current and future trends
Knows competitive environment on product and commercial aspects
Launch & life cycle management
Managing successful launches collaborates with key internal stakeholders to drive launches, manages forecasting, sales initiatives, monitoring and implementation of corrective actions
Portfolio management
Strong interaction and collaboration with the global marketing team at headquarters
Works closely with the sales team to develop high quality marketing plans
Communication
Acts as internal sales person to sell products, services and insights to local sales team
Supports sales calls through effective and efficient co-travel with local sales team
Ensures interdisciplinary alignment with internal stakeholders
Commercial expertise
Develops meaningful marketing initiatives and sales promotions
Supports sales calls thru effective and efficient co-travel with local sales team
Monitors performances and activities of respective product franchises, giving full transparency in the
Organization of performance achievements with sales team
Actively utilizing crm information to drive marketing initiatives
Identifies market trends and competitor activities
Creates valuable insights to feed commercial talk tracks
Represents the company
When necessary, support key customers initiatives
Identify, convert and support national / regional opinion leaders
Education/professional experience
University degree in business administration, marketing or health sciences complemented with a master’s degree in a business-related area
Advanced skills in microsoft office applications (word, excel, and powerpoint), internet with excellent presentation skills
Experience in b-to-b environment with a direct sales force
Experienced in medical device / bioscience / technology markets (preferably dentistry) strongly preferred
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position
Strong analytical skills, business acumen and ability to work independently
Demonstrated strong team contributor
Ability to thrive and learn in a fast paced and ever changing environment
Proven record of demonstrating initiative
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in english and other local languages
