Boeing India Engineering & Technology Center (BIETC) based in Bangalore, India is engaged in the development of advanced Aerospace and Aviation technologies. Boeing India IT&DA Organization is currently looking for System Architects (SAP Commerce (Hybris)) to join their eCommerce team in Bangalore. This position will report to the Senior Manager of Aviation Business Solutions group in Boeing India IT&DA Organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions for Ecommerce applications with complex integrations to salesforce, PIM, SAP ERP and ensuring high levels of performance, scalability, and security. The hired candidate will work with the Boeing eCommerce development team members and its partners / stakeholders to Design, develop, maintain and improve the ecommerce applications. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Position Responsibilities :
Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing technical solutions for Ecommerce applications with complex integrations to salesforce, PIM, SAP ERP and ensuring high levels of performance, scalability, and security.
For a given scope area, evaluate architectural models and perform/drive in-depth analysis of systems, data flows processes, and KPIs/metrics about the current state.
Analyzes customers’ business requirements and software/product objectives; develops an application design and architecture to meet business requirements keeping Customer Centricity in mind.
Works together with Enterprise/Solution Architects to work out a functional solution from high- to low-level.
The selected individual will be a skilled, highly professional engineer, work collaboratively with an international team comprising software development, product management, and business analysis. Should possess the ability to develop strong relationships with Business Teams, Product Management teams, Program team members & other Enterprise Architects.
Accountable that the solution designs meet the functional requirements specified by the Product Management/Business and solution designed meets the platform architecture standards.
Accountable that the deliverables meet requirements w.r.t. reliability, availability, manageability, performance, and security and compliance.
Develop understanding of business processes, data flows, strategy, and long term thinking to come up with an end-state architecture for large and complex aviation related systems.
Perform in depth analysis on Data flows, Workflows, Performance all other KPIs of the system
Mentors Dev Leads & other junior team members on technical aspects. Hiring/Grooming the best talent.
Engage with tech/non-tech Executive leaders on gaps/ recommendations
The candidate must work in close collaboration with the Enterprise Architecture Team in a SAFe environment and bring in the following values
Vision: While Product Management provides the business vision, the Systems Architect is the single point of contact for the technical vision of our products and ensures that both the business vision and the technical vision are aligned
Organization liaison: You have a good understanding of what is happening in different parts of the organization in the architecture domain and make sure that decisions made in the domain are anchored to the rest of the organization
Representation in our Agile Release Trains: You ensure that the architecture work packages are properly represented in the release trains and you also help the release management team to find the balance between necessary architecture work and features needed in the product

Providing the necessary technical facilitation when needed
Partnering with the other architects and coaching the development teams
Big picture: You have a good understanding of how the big picture is formed – how different products come together and serve the business
This position may require some travel within India and internationally.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience of working in globally diverse teams and good at stakeholder management.
Technical hands on experience in SAP Commerce (Hybris) full project life cycle implementation is mandatory. Experience in two or more SAP Commerce (Hybris) implementations (minimum). Participated in a minimum of 2 upgrade cycles of SAP Commerce system to latest releases.
Experience in hosting Complex web, eCommerce-based systems such as SAP Hybris Commerce or Java/J2EE equivalent Platform serving enterprise level use cases.
Good experience in Design of SAP Hybris Commerce Applications, Micro-services.
5+ years of experience working with Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) including Java, Servlets, JSP. Preference for experience working with Spring frameworks including Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Security and Spring Integration.
5+ experience in architecting/leading a highly scalable REST/SOAP web services-based systems.
5+ Years of experience in creating data models necessary for Hybris projects, including products, catalogs, storefronts, customers, orders, and more
5+ Years of experience in framing raw product, inventory, or customer data (database, XML, XLS, CSV, etc.) into formats suitable for loading into Hybris, and configure one-time or recurring data imports.
Good working experience in Front End Technologies like HTML, CSS, Angular, JavaScript etc.
For a given scope area, evaluate architectural models and perform/drive in-depth analysis of systems, data flows processes, and KPIs/metrics about the current state.
Help defining and designing non-functional requirements (NFRs) and implementations.
Develop understanding of business processes, data flows, strategy, and long term thinking to come up with an end-state architecture for large and complex aviation related systems.
Must Have skills – SAP Commerce (Hybris) & SAP Commerce Cloud (CCV2). Working experience of Cloud systems such as SAP Commerce Cloud (CCV2), AWS, Azure, analytics Tools and techniques. Experience of migration to SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2).
Experience in services-oriented architecture, system scalability and reliability, enterprise application integration, and operational support issues.
Understanding of Data warehouse technologies targeted towards analytics and decision-making capabilities
Expertise in Data Annotation tools, defining meta data for media types such as Images, Audio, Video, model-based data capture
Strong knowledge of Application / Web Server, Relational Databases (Oracle, MySQL, Postgres), No-SQL (Mongo, Dynamo, etc.), SAP ERP, SAP PI, Informatica
Good exposure on Test Automation, Containerization, docker, Orchestrators such as Kubernetes, Netflix Conductor
Ability to understand business processes and communicate with other Architects/Enterprise Architects over a wide range of technical topics.
Have experience in ALM tools (GitLab, Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory)
Good understanding in Azure DEVOPS, DEV-SEC-OPS or any other DevOps lifecycle
Working exposure with Agile (Scrum & SAFe) and DevOps is a must
Good to have but not mandatory – AI/ML methodologies for building intelligence into apps to progressively reduce cycle times of workflow.
Must be results-driven. Should have sstrong analytical, holistic, and conceptual thinking.
Excellent presentation & communication skills – proficient in “business-speak” and “tech-speak” and fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Excellent communication skills and team-player attitude as well as the ability to interact with IT and other departments and with any levels of management. Should be able to thrive in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in computer science, IT, Engineering or equivalent education
Minimum 5 years of SAP Commerce (Hybris) platform experience is a must as an experienced developer or similar Architect role. Track record of architecture and team leadership via Project successes.
Experience in two or more SAP Commerce (Hybris) implementations (minimum). Participated in a minimum of 2 upgrade cycles of SAP Commerce system to latest releases.
Ability to perform gap analysis by reviewing current and future technical landscapes.
Certification in SAP Hybris, Cloud technologies, SAFe & TOGAF certified candidates would be preferred
Past experience related to eCommerce / Aerospace / Aviation domain.
Good to have hands on experience On Prem to cloud migration of applications/solutions.
Good understanding of IT Infrastructure, DevSecOps and Agile software development processes (SAFe/Scrum/Kanban etc.)
Fluency in eCommerce & Content Management technologies and the latest trends.
Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and minimum of 16 years or more related work experience. Advanced degree (e.g. bachelor, master, etc.) preferred.
Candidates with experience in Aerospace/Aviation domain will be highly preferred.
Experience working in a global organization is preferred.
