Duties Basic Function of the Position: The position is located in the Information Management Office (IMO), U.S. Embassy, New Delhi. Under the supervision of Information Management Specialist (IMS) or Information Program Specialist (IPS), the incumbent will be required to manage all unclassified pouch and diplomatic mail operations at the mailroom, supervising and rating two Assistant Mailroom Supervisors and 16 Mail Clerks who support all mailroom functions. The incumbent serves as the primary local liaison with airport authorities, and mail handling contractors. S/he will be required to sort and distribute mail, process incoming diplomatic pouches, and prepare diplomatic pouches for dispatch. S/he will be responsible for transportation, safeguarding, receipt and delivery of all incoming and outgoing Diplomatic Post Office (DPO) mail and unclassified diplomatic pouches. The incumbent maintains all required paperwork. S/he ensures all security standards are met for proper storage and handling of DPO accountable mail, Diplomatic Pouch and Mail (DPM) registered, certified and pouch material. S/he provides guidance to all offices authorized to use DPO and pouch services. S/he tracks and is accountable for all funds issued to the mailroom. The incumbent ensure all Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) contracts are kept up-to-date and tracks and updates the mailroom Franking machines required for official postage. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned by the agency. Note: The incumbent should have the ability to lift 31 kilograms and safely move up to 113 kilograms of weight with assistance from coworkers or use of mechanical devices. S/he should be willing to work flexible hours, as per requirement.

Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: The position requires two years of experience in external or internal customer service, including tasks involving problem solving and mail handling or other related clerical experience, with one year of supervisory or team lead experience is also required.

Education Requirements:
The position requires successful completion of Senior Secondary School (Class XII).
