Duties Basic Function of the Position: The Public Engagement Specialist (National Program Coordination) works under the direct supervision of the Public Diplomacy Officer (Public Engagement Deputy) (PDO) or PAO designee and supervises five public engagement coordinators on the National Program Coordination Unit. S/he plans. coordinates, oversees, and evaluates the impact of Public Diplomacy(PD) activities, projects, and initiatives to engage Emerging voices(EV) and Established Opinion Leaders(EOL) audience sectors, promote understanding of the U.S. policy, and dispel inaccurate perceptions. S/he guides a team which coordinates with Embassy India’s four posts. S/he build substantive relationships within India and U.S. civil society and government. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:
This position requires eight years of experience in mass media, education, or project management and experience with audience or market analysis, program management, or monitoring and evaluation is required. In addition one year of supervisory experience is also required.

This position requires completion of Senior Secondary School (Class XII).
