Technical Operations includes the maintenance, and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams and more.
Job overview and responsibilities
This analyst position is responsible for working with suppliers to identify and implement future alternate Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA) and Owner Operator Produced Parts (OOPP) usage. Role supports Technical Operation’s cost saving and reliability initiatives.
Use Supply Chain forecast tools to identify future alternate material usage and financial spends that support future PO Forecast, Repair Orders and Airframe OSVs goals
Develop these identified alternate materials with both internal and external suppliers to determine best opportunities
Work with current PMA/OOPP suppliers to verify that FAA-approved alternate materials are incorporated into the Company’s technical manuals
Manage certain financial aspects of United’s Technical Component Purchasing and Repair contracts and warranties
Partner with Engineering to identify aircraft reliability issues and coordinate with PMA/OOPP suppliers to develop alternate solutions that resolve those issues

Bachelors degree in finance, business, or supply chain, or related field, or relevant work experience
Understanding of supply chain planning and management
Analytical approach to problem solving with attention to detail and a sense of urgency
Microsoft Excel proficiency
Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
1-3 years of experience in fields of supply chain, airline or manufacturing industry
One year analytical work experience
Experience with financial & AP business intelligence tools (SAS, Oracle OBIEE, Hypeiron, TAP, etc.)
Experience with a maintenance information system
Familiarity with technical contracts
Advanced Microsoft Excel
