At Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company, we the HRIT team focus on the technological (Information Technology) part of Human Resources Solutions and is often an integrated part of other IT and business groups.
Describing and managing the technology related to HR solutions, like databases, reports, interfaces, exchange protocols, hosting on servers, etc. We also manage the time tracking, absence management and payroll management within Workday and also integrate with third party providers globally.
We are looking for recent college graduate to join our Enterprise applications (HRIT) team. As part of this role, you will gain experience in working on projects in various functional areas primarily in HR. This role will focus on projects and operational tasks supported by the HR function. You will also help with the Project Development and Support with the integration with Siemens Healthineers.
Roles & Responsibilities
Participate on project teams as appropriate to implement new system functionality within the Workday application. Analyze, test and document custom modifications required to address business requirements.
Undertake tasks as directed, including working with other SME teams to facilitate and coordinate.
Create and maintain functional documentation required to support the HR applications.
Ability to conduct research studies, analyze facts and data, develop recommendations, and prepare reports.
Conduct unit, system, integration and regression testing for the HCM applications.
Partner with business groups and Varian IT to deliver HR IT projects. The role will be involved with the global organization in implementing and supporting HR applications in a highly fast-paced organization.
The ideal candidate will be self-directed and motivated with strong analytical and development skills, participating in business sessions to understand business goals/vision, extract business requirements, define performance indicators, and provide solutions on various IT platforms.
Work closely with the Enterprise-wide IT HR Applications and the HR Data and Process teams, and the local HR team to fulfill defined business goals.
Provide expertise in the area of custom developments on on-premise and cloud-based enterprise applications.
Should drive and guide third-party technology professionals, including functional consultants and developers focused on architecture, design, and implementation of HR applications.
Remain knowledgeable with current and future technologies and providing recommendations as needed to meet corporate IT objectives.
Job Requirements:
Technical and Functional analysis to troubleshoot and resolve Workday issues
Performing Workday’s feasibility study to develop both inbound/outbound integrations between Third-party /internal systems using EIB’s, Connectors, Workday Studio.
Design and create various Advanced, Matrix, Composite workday reports by including calculated fields wherever required.
Test configurations and integrations through unit testing and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) across teams
Troubleshoot and resolve configuration issues, user interface, design concepts, testing, and implementation
Ability to identify areas of opportunity and proactively suggest solutions to improve business processes and achieve efficiency
Ability to work with cross-functional teams across the organization and on global projects
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
Must be a self-motivated, rapid learner, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Qualifications:
Preferred knowledge of HR technology or passionate to pursue a career in HR
Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Information Systems, or Human Resources
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with various management levels and evaluate alternative business solutions
Customer service orientation and ability to maintain a professional behavior
Competent in business insight and exposure to HR technology software
