This candidate will join the Corporate Information Technology Project Management Office (PMO) for the Billing and Incentives Platform and will be responsible for successful project delivery while working with matrixed teams comprised of Systems Analysts, Vendors, Development, QA, Operations and Business personnel. This position is responsible for leading and/or assisting with project management efforts on multiple concurrent software development projects focused on Visa’s revenue and pricing systems. Work may include leading status meetings, communicating with team members, interfacing with other teams or departments as needed per project, monitoring project financials, creating and maintaining project schedules, reporting status to management and project sponsors. Essential Functions: * Direct project activities, conduct reviews, manage risk mitigation, issues, change control processes, and communicate status to senior executives within the development and business partner organizations, using escalation paths as appropriate to ensure project success. * Create, manage and track project budgets, forecasts and schedules to achieve target scope, schedule and cost. Provide variance analysis. * As Project Manager, achieve project goals by collaborating with stakeholders at all management levels across Visa, including architects and strategists, technical IT subject matter experts, business partners, vendors, and Visa senior management. * Work with business and technology subject matter experts to define project scope, create accurate and inclusive estimates, develop budgets and project plans, and produce high quality project charters and other planning documentation needed for funding approvals. * Manage conflict resolution and negotiation to achieve project goals and develop trust with stakeholders. * Ensure that all Corporate Information Technology projects are in compliance with Visa’s internal Project Management Methodology and Key Controls and that accurate and timely information is collected and reported regularly on project progress and financial status. * Manage project documentation and repositories (Jira, MS Teams, SharePoint site, Project Work Book (PWB)). * Schedule and chair effective meetings with appropriate attendees, agendas, timely minutes, and follow-up * Establish a baseline communication plan and deliver timely communications that are appropriately tailored to audiences. * Assist other Project Managers in any of the above. * Embrace teamwork while promoting a culture of openness and flexibility. Education/Experience: • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, IT or a related field. • PMP certification preferred but not mandatory. • Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to post-implementation production support, including quality assurance and system integration. • Minimum of 5 years of project coordination experience required, preferably with payments systems or finance applications. • Proven experience in planning, organizing and leading large meetings, executive steering committees, working sessions, etc. • Proven experience in coordinating people, process and project in a heavily matrixed organization structure is required. • Demonstrated experience in working with technical teams in the delivery of large-scale software development, operational and integration efforts. • Strong process orientation and a solid understanding of project management techniques, methodologies and best practices. • Nice to have: Experience with managing projects following agile methodologies. Required Skills: • Ability to understand complex business requirements and functions. • Ability to understand complex systems, and their interfaces. • Well organized, attention to detail, great planning and execution skills. • Proven skills in coordinating, managing large projects in a matrix environment, with team members in remote locations. • Self-motivated, able to work independently and manage one’s time and priorities. • Knowledge of software and Project Management tools, such as Jira, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Clarity, SharePoint, MS Teams, etc. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Team player, able to communicate with technical and business experts at all levels of the organization. • Solid analytical skills, able to think strategically and creatively. 3-5 must have skills and Nice to have skills: • Must Have: Project Coordination, experience leading meetings, experience managing within a matrixed organization • Nice to have: Payments or billing system experience, Scrum Master certification or experience with agile projects • Any technology companies or a particular industry background?
