The Worldwide Consulting Centers Global SRE Team, is a part of the global VMware Professional Services Organization. We are team of an excellent Site Reliability Engineers with expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation. VCF supports both traditional enterprise and modern apps and provides a complete set of highly secure software-defined services for compute, storage, network, security, Kubernetes and cloud management Increase enterprise agility and flexibility with consistent infrastructure and operations across private and public clouds.

In this opportunity of SRE Lead you will be part of WWCC Global SRE Team and play the role of a People Manager & Technical Expert. Guide our Global SRE Team to achieve business goals and manage their career paths. Also help our customers across the globe by advocating and walking an extra mile to provide effective and efficient solutions for their business reliable.
Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing
Lead & Manage Global SRE Team
Bring optimization and effectiveness in process and delivery of work
Design & map Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to achieve organization mission
Invest & build business relations with key stakeholders & partners
Collaborate with SRE Management, Service Managers & PMO
Act as a Technical Lead for VCF Solutions
Enable team to excel in large enterprise engagement delivery
Communicate at all levels

Conducting timely performance evaluations
Involve in Hiring and Staffing for Global SRE Team
Encourage & Lead Team innovation
Manage & collaborate with key stakeholders & partner business
Own and Support decision making and problem support
Plan, Design and Manage Key Performance Indicators to measure & achieve business goals
Plan and manage team resources to implement integration of extensible services / solutions
Ensure ethics & compliance
Define project requirements/issues/constraints with PMs / SMs
Develop and maintain up-to-date, clear, and effective service operations
Being Technical Lead for VCF Solutions support team in business delivery
Work closely with R&D teams to improve maintainability and reliability of services
Own and provide proactive service support by participating in regular business calls
Cover a 24/7 rotational shift pattern if required

Where is this role located?
Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager. You will be expected to live within a reasonable non-daily commute of the office.
