Duties
Basic Function of the Position: The position is located in the Consular Office of the U.S. Embassy, New Delhi. Under the supervision of Special Assistant to the Minister Counselor for Consular Affairs(MCCA), the incumbent will provide secretarial and administrative support to the MCCA and the MCCA’s Special Assistant. S/he maintains appointment calendars(s), screen phone calls, arranges travel, answers e-mails, and tracks requests with other Embassy offices on behalf of the MCCA. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:
This position requires three years of work experience in an office setting in administrative or secretarial profile.

Education Requirements:
This position requires the successful completion of two years of college studies.
Indicate on the qualifications questionnaire all the education details as relevant for the position (Two years of college studies and/or higher for this vacancy). Also, please specify the name of the Certificate/Degree/Diploma course and the major subjects for each qualification you possess.

Level 1, Basic – Examples: Basic greetings, phrases, numbers and signs.

Level 3 (Good Working Knowledge) in Hindi (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required.

Locally Employed Staff, including Members of Household (MOHs), and Third-Country Nationals (TCNs), working at the U.S. Mission in New Delhi, India may receive a compensation package that may include health, separation, and other benefits.
For EFMs, benefits should be discussed with the Human Resources Office.
The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office.
