Key Result Areas Responsibilities
Oversee the implementation and administration of Human Resources policies, programs and practices.
Develop and monitors Human Resources annual budget.
Oversee the implementation of Human Resources programs through Human Resources staff. Identify opportunities for improvement and resolve problems.
Oversee and manage the work of reporting Human Resources staff. Encourage the ongoing development of the Human Resources staff.
Develop and monitor an annual budget that includes Human Resources services, employee recognition, sports teams and community events support, company philanthropic giving, and benefits administration.
Select and supervise Human Resources consultants, attorneys, and training specialists, and coordinates company use of insurance
Development of the Human Resources Department brokers, insurance carriers, pension administrators, and other outside sources.
Conduct a continuing study of all Human Resources policies, programs, and practices to keep management informed of new developments.
Lead the development of department goals, objectives, and systems. Provides leadership for Human Resources strategic planning.
Establish HR departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the company’s strategic goals.
Manage the preparation and maintenance of such reports as are necessary to carry out the functions of the department. Prepare periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested, to track strategic goal accomplishment.
Develop and administer programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.
Participate in executive, management, and company staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
Manpower Planning Confer with other functions and develop the annual manpower plan for the organization
Communicate the process details to functional heads for decision making
Establish and lead the standard recruiting and hiring practices and procedures necessary to recruit and hire a superior workforce.
Interview management and executive position candidates; serve as part of the interview team for position finalists.
Chair any employee selection committees or meetings.
Confer with functional heads and develop recruitment and selection strategy for the organization
Confer with functional heads and identify staff vacancies
Recruitment & Selection Approve and finalize from the various sources for personnel requirements short listed by HR executive
Confer with functional heads and shortlist candidates for interviewing
Interview job applicants for selection in consultation with functional heads
Confer with plant manager and prepare all new contracts and employment packages
Approve the letters to be sent out to successful/unsuccessful candidates
Ensure compliance with annual manpower budget and headcount approval during the year.
Oversee the entire recruitment and selection process.
Provide on the job training for knowledge and skill up gradation
Provide developmental inputs to team members and monitor development
Develop the training and development strategy for the organization
Confer with functional heads and identify training and development needs of the organization
Approve the external consultants/trainers for various training activities short listed by HRD executive
Training and Development
Evaluate effectiveness of various training programs conducted and take necessary action
Training and Development Monitor all Human Resources training programs, and assigns the authority / responsibility of Human Resources and managers within those programs. Provide necessary education and materials to managers and employees including workshops, manuals, employee handbooks, and standardized reports.
Develop and implement training and development initiatives to address current capabilities and future training needs, including on- the-job operational training, department special training, management development, new hire orientation and on boarding.
Establishes an in-house employee training system that addresses company training needs including training needs assessment, new employee on boarding or orientation, management development, production cross-training, the measurement of training impact, and training transfer.
Assist managers with the selection and contracting of external training programs and consultants.
Assist with the development of and monitoring of the spending of the corporate training budget. Ensure maintenance of employee training records.
Confer with functional heads and finalize the organizational and departmental goals/targets/objectives
Confer with functional heads and ensure finalization of individual goals/targets/objectives
Plan and conduct quarterly performance reviews for all employees and departments
Ensure all the PMS related data is maintained for further references
Performance Management System Plan, develop, implement and administer programs, procedures, and guidelines to help align staff with the strategic goals of the company.
Lead the implementation of the performance management system that including performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs.
Liaise with corporate HR for implementation of performance management system and ensure due completion of all processes by employees.
With the assistance of the management, obtains cost effective, employee serving benefits
Recommend changes in benefits offered, especially new benefits aimed at employee satisfaction and retention.
Develop and implement compensation strategies and structures that align with company goals.
Ensure the provisions of cost effective benefits plan; monitor benefits environment for cost savings.
Establish the company wage and salary structure, pay policies, and oversee the variable pay systems within the company including bonuses and raises.
Compensation & Benefits Lead competitive market research to establish pay practices and pay bands that help to recruit and retain superior staff.
Monitor all pay practices and systems for effectiveness and cost containment.
Monitor best practices in compensation and benefits through research and up-to-date information on available products.
Administer employment agreements.
Verify and report on benefits payments every month.
Review remittances of all employees every month.
Review completion of the payroll process every month.
Review payroll reports on monthly basis.
Design, direct, and manage a company-wide process of organization development that addresses issues such as succession planning, organization design, superior workforce development, key employee retention, organization design, and change management.
Manage employee communication and feedback through such avenues as company meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisfaction surveys, newsletters, employee focus groups, one-on-one meetings, and Intranet use.
Manage a process of organizational planning that evaluates company structure, job design, and personnel forecasting throughout the
Organization Development company. Evaluate plans and changes to plans. Make recommendations to executive management.
Identify and monitor the organization’s culture so that it supports the attainment of the company’s goals and promotes employee satisfaction.
Organization Development
Manage the company-wide committees including the wellness, training, environmental health and safety, activity, and culture and communications committees.
Keep the plant manager and the executive team informed of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of company goals, and those that are not being addressed adequately at the line management level.
Analyze and modify HR policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements
Effective implementation of HR Policies
Provide employees with information about revision in policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotions, etc
Formulate and recommend Human Resources policies and objectives for the company that will establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation, and that comply with policies, procedures, programs and laws.
Develop strong working relationships with other Executives, management and staff, providing advice, guidance, and coaching as needed
Formulate and recommend Human Resources policies and objectives for the company on any topic associated with employee relations and employee rights.
Partner with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws.
Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation. Conducts periodic surveys to measure employee satisfaction and employee engagement.
Prepare annual quarterly engagement calendar for all departments along with monthly tracker of activities planned.
Employee Relations Coordinate and ensure implementation of engagement activities assigned from time to time on a timely basis.
Conduct for Employee Engagement Surveys and conduct deep dive sessions with departments on an annual basis for discussing survey results.
Ensure implementation of various rewards and recognition practices.
Coach and train managers in their communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction responsibilities with the employees who report to them.
Conduct investigations when employee complaints or concerns are brought forth.
Monitor and advise managers and supervisors in the progressive discipline system of the company. Monitor the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees.
Review, guide, and approve management recommendations for employment terminations.
Lead the implementation of company safety and health programs.
Oversee the employee welfare activities.
Review employee appeals through the company complaint procedure.
Oversee all administration related activities
General Administration Oversee all security, transport and canteen related activities and ensure compliance to legal provisions
Develop Standards for Housekeeping and monitor the same.
Manages the development and maintenance of the Human Resources sections of both the company website, particularly recruiting,
Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) culture, and company information; and the employee Intranet, and so forth.
Utilize the HRIS system to eliminate administrative tasks, empower employees, and meet the other needs of the organization.
Confer with plant manager and develop disciplinary actions and grievance redressal procedures and policies for the organization
Confer with plant manager and take disciplinary actions as and when required
Liaise with advocates/lawyers in case of disputes/conflicts
Industrial relations Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements
Develop annual budget for Labor Welfare Activities
Finalize welfare activities for the year as developed by HR Executive
Participate in worker settlement and ensure smooth finalization of the same.

Lead company compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal and government reporting requirements including any related to the the Department of Labor, worker compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and so forth. Maintain minimal company exposure to lawsuits.
Legal & Statutory Compliance Direct the preparation of information requested or required for compliance with laws. Approve all information submitted. Serve as the primary contact with the company employment law attorney and outside government agencies.
Protect the interests of employees and the company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.
Develop, implement, and ensure the application of policies, regulations, and standards relating to occupational health and safety.
Occupational Health & Safety
Oversee activities of the Occupational Health Centre
Ensure compliance with legislated reporting requirements and due diligence/liability requirements are met.
Allocate duties to team members
Monitor team performance Plan and conduct performance planning and reviews for team members
Provide performance feedback to team members
Employee Separation Ensure smooth separation process for all employees
Analyse exit interview results and identify corrective actions for presenting to management
